Description
The aim is the estimation of changes in conductivity at KTB-site after the big injection test when a large amount of fresh water was pushed down. Because of the significant differences of the conductivity between injected water and saline crust water, geoelectrical methods are qualified for detecting such changes and movements in a depth of nearly 4000 m. For reaching better resolutions, the surface-measurements have to be completed by the Vertical Electrical Profiling System (VES), which was developed during the earlier researches JA 590/19-1 and JA 590/19-2 (hole-surface-measurements). Three surface-hole-measurements in different temporal intervals were scheduled after the fresh water injection test. Their results will be compared with former measurements beyond the production test from 2002 till 2003 (project JA 590/19-2). Measurements in an interval of seven weeks and an interval of six months will monitor occurred fluid movements and their returning to balance. It is finally provided to give a final interpretation of all measurements that have ever been done since 2001. Additionally the natural electrical field will be recorded by transient recorders in the uncased part of the pilot hole.
